A much needed update
Happy spring, family!
I hope you and your loved ones had a warm and joyful winter. First of all, Me&You would like to extend our thanks to everyone that had donated, supported, and thought about those in need in the DMV. We were able to raise over our goal of $20,000 which helped us fulfill many different needs for our partner schools.
During the holidays we donated toiletries, coats, blankets, and even laptops. We have also been continuously providing grocery store gift cards at any moment we can.
For the month of February, the team agreed to go forward with our homeless efforts - Project Love. So for Valentine's Day weekend, despite the ice and rain, our members dropped off packages in D.C.. Honestly, I don't think the weather phased any one up until the drive home. It was really important to members of Me&You that this got done. From the brief interactions and to those that asked for a warm meal and a blanket, it was worth the sniffles at the end of the day.
Of course, the impact of the pandemic certainly does not stop here. Families, students, and everyone around us are still feeling the effects of this worldly issue, and may feel this for quite some time. We certainly can't read the future, but we are doing our best to plan and prepare. We hope you will continue to stay with us on this journey. Thank you again ♡
