LAYCCA x Me & You

Earlier this year, our very own Ivana Lee and Kim Chi Ha were interviewed by one of our partner schools, LAYC Career Academy (LAYCCA) located in Washington, D.C. Me & You officially partnered with LAYCCA in 2020, just as the COVID-19 pandemic began to take shape in our country.

Ever since the beginning, former Director of Operations and Communications Bernadette Kreh stayed in touch with the organization and created a moment for members of Me & You and the philanthropic community to support students at a critical period between ages 16-24 in the D.C. region. The community was able to bring "technology, toiletries, and transformation to Opportunity Youth in DC." It has been a powerful journey and continues to this day. LAYCCA serves a segment of the DC population with a mission to "engage and empower young people between the ages of 16 and 24 by providing a college preparatory education, career training in high-growth occupations and/or college-credit classes."
